Our Mission
To introduce as many riders to an environment that is safer, away from the hustle and bustle of major routes and build a self-supporting community of likeminded riders that help each other enjoy the experience of backroad touring.
The Australian Backroads Motorcycle Touring Facebook group was formed in October 2020 for the sole purpose of uniting likeminded people and to provide a social support network where riders can share their experiences, knowledge of roads as well as provide advice on bikes and accessories.
With membership growing rapidly, the group consists of riders from all over Australia. Therefore, if you are planning a trip to Western Australia and you are based in Queensland, you can always find a like minded member who can offer their advice on the best route to take, accommodation options, and where to go to take advantage of stunning scenery.
The News and Reviews section features both written and video reviews on new and used bikes and accessories whilst Rides page under Rusty’s Rides features written explanations of ride loops and Google Map references so you can enjoy at your own pace.
